This is my cylinder that was made with clay that was sculpted by the wheel. While I was working on this project, I learned how to use the wheel and form different bowl/cylinder shapes. I had a difficult time making a cylinder, but I was able to make many bowl shapes. The main art elements in my cylinder are shape, form, and color. The cylinder doesn't really express anything.

This is my extra credit project. It is a small bowl. I made this bowl on the wheel. The new skills I learned were how to make a bowl since I made this before I made my bowl project. The art elements of this project are line, color, and form. I started to design it with a clock but then the designs just turned into what they are now. This is my choice project. I made it on the wheel. It is a very small plate/bowl that I use to hole my jewelry in. I actually made this project when I was trying to make a cylinder. I messed up the cylinder but still liked the shape of this so I kept it. It didn't learn any new skills except to keep persevering. This project has the art elements of shape, form, and color. This is my soft slab cup that I made out of fresh slabs of clay. A new skill I learned while creating this was that the designs needed to be pronounced and very visible so when glazing, they don't just disappear beneath it. The main art elements of this project are shape, form, line, color, and texture. My cup is personalized with my name. I wish I made the designs cooler and took more time to do them. This cup is very homey to me.
This is my coil project made out of a clay pinch pot with at least 8 layers of different coils scored and slipped on top. I wasn't able to get all 8 layers because I was gone for a week and even though it was stored it still dried out. While doing this project I learned how to use coils to make a pot, and how to make the coils different. The main art elements of my coil project are shape, form, space, texture, and color. The coil pot reminds me of an old pot my grandmother would have for flowers or gardneing tools.
This was my pinch pot that I made out of clay that I shaped into two bowl-shaped pieces of clay put together and then shaped into the mushroom and the top cut off to make it a box. When making this project I learned how I need to make the top of the box have unique grooves so it fits on nicely. The main art elements are shape, form, color, and texture. The mushroom adds a mystical quality to the project; like faeries and toadstools.
